       Rukmini Devi Arundale College of Education, Madanapalle under the glorious Management of the Besant Centenary Trust, a Registered Theosophical Society with its head quarters at Tiruvanmiyur, Chennai was founded on 27th December, 1999 with noble ideals mainly to impart ethical and value based education. The College is approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) Bangalore and affiliated to Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati.

       Our college RACE is named after the celebrated lady Smt. Rukmini Devi, the late president of Besant Centenary Trust who has greatly contributed to the rejuvenation of Indian art by establishing a center of classical art at kalakshetra, a globally esteemed Dance School at Adayar in Chennai. As a pioneer in education, she brought Dr. Maria Montessori to India to start Teacher Trainee courses. She also established two schools with the watch word “Education without fear”.

       RACE with its motto of love, joy and service has been inculcating among the trainees the ethical values, good convictions and sound discipline so that the trainees become earnest, dedicated teachers to shape the future of our country.
